The Tai-Ex closed below the 8,200 point mark yesterday, weighed down by the
weak performance of the computer, tourism and food sectors.

Shares of several computer makers lost more than 3-per cent, with the
sector's sub-index closing 1.82 percent lower, the biggest drop among all
sectors.
